Netterweise hat der wissende Franzose auf meine Fragen in Englisch geantwortet. Vielleicht ist ein 6-Gang-Getriebe doch nicht so unerreichbar.
Dear all,
I am very sorry but I do not understand french. So I kindly want to ask you to answer in english or german if possible.
I am planing to convert my AX to a TU5J4 engine with approx 200 HP. Therefore I am looking for informations concerning gearbox conversions. Due to the reason that the BE gearboxes which fit to the TU-block from Citroen Sport or Peugeot Sport are very expensive, I am searching for other solutions. I heard that a Peugeot 307 should have a TU5JP4 engine with a BE4 gearbox. Is it possible to use such a BE4 gearbox in my AX? Do other cars from PSA have the same BE4 gearbox which fits to the TU5-block? What are the differences between the BE4 and the BE 3/5 and BE 3/6 gearbox? Would it be possible to build up a 6speed gearbox from parts of a BE4 + BE3/5 + BE3/6 gearbox? Can I use final ratio or a LSD from a BE3 gearbox in a BE4 gearbox? Did someone think about a conversion to a Sadev 6speed sequential gearbox from a Megane Cup or a Clio RS Cup?
I am hopefully looking forward for some answers. Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards WW

Yes it's possible to use a BE4 of 307 on your AX. The Citroen Picasso have the same gearbox. yes it's possible to build up a 6speed gearbox from parts of a BE4 + BE3/6 gearbox, but i don't know if you can convert a sadev of Renault. |
